Cerebral Palsy Midlands (CPM) were pleased to welcome Joe O'Neill to our centre this week and are more overjoyed to see and hear that he has had the greatest time when we received this message;
"Just to let you know I will be coming in tomorrow if that’s okay with you thanks again for a brilliant week at CPM I’ve really enjoyed myself it made me realise how bored I was just being at home all week thanks again".
Here at CPM we are aware, that many of our adult disabled citizens were at home, bored, suffering with depression and experiencing social isolation prior to coming to our centre, similar to Joe. Here at CPM, we are more than just a day-centre, we have a wide range of activities taking place every day available for anyone and everyone to take part in such as;
Vocal coaching and music tuition with our Being Heard Music Group
Art tuition with our Inspire and VeraNic art group
Wheelchair Dance classes
Rock band coaching and rehearsals with The CPM Connection Band
NVQ skills tution with Care First Ltd
LIFE SKILLS coaching including planting, cooking and more.
Accessing the community with trips out
This does not include other service we provide including; bespoke and tailored care, having a monthly social Pathfinders social club, daily fresh home cooked hot meals, organised holidays, our URconnectABLE social work support and LOOKING FORWARD parent & carer support group.
We feel we offer an incredible wholesome experience for the people here that develops them personally allowing them to achieve more.
We are glad Joe feels like part of the CPM family and is excited to be with us, we are glad we have been able to make that difference to the quality of his life.
