Posts from March 2017

Newman University Psychology and Counselling student Alex Newton started his work placement with CPM in September last year. During his time here he has successfully set up our artwork online on our website, interviewing citizens about their work, taking photographs of their art and working together with our website team to set out the pages, helping empower our disabled adults and get their out there, into the public eye. So people can see just how talented our artists are. Finishing his work experience Alex has some lovely heart felt words about his time here at our centre.
My name is Conor Handel I am almost 20 years old and I am completing a work placement with QAC at Cerebral Palsy Midlands.
Last week I interviewed six service users about access in the community.

Mondelez International Community Champions Michael Huggins and Steve Davies, have set up a series of fundraising challenges this year to help raise money for our charity Cerebral Palsy Midlands.

Their challenges include organising a wheelchair basketball charity match taking place this Sunday 26th March at Warwick Sports Centre (CPM vs Warwickshire Bears wheelchair basketball team), cycling at Cadbury World, a hula-hoop challenge and Riding Across Britain!

Further support this year has included The Cadbury Foundation supporting CPM with a £3,000 grant towards supporting Health and Well-being within the centre to help our disabled adults in our community and develop our services. Read more.

Here is an update on the CPM vs Warwickshire Bears Wheelchair Basketball charity match taking place at Warwick Sport Centre on Sunday 26th March between 1 and 3pm. Firstly we want to thank all of those who have put themselves forward to play and to all those who are supporting our players and helping us fundraise for Cerebral Palsy Midlands.
