The best walk we ever have had!
Our Wheel 'n' Walk Sponsored Walk took place on Sunday 13th May 2018 at Cannon Hill Park. Cerebral Palsy Midlands walked together with Birmingham Phab Camps and Sociability Care.
This year was officially the best ever annual sponsored walk fundraiser we have ever had. Joing forces with local charity Birmingham Phab Camps and CIC (Community Interest Company) Sociability Care meant we had a bigger voice for raising awareness for disability. It was a terrific atmosphere, wonderful attendance and obviously a lot of hard work and planning. We are extremely grateful the support from our local community, friends and families that came to join us.
CPM Development Officer Sarah Lilly said
"I really feel moved by at all. Just having so many disabled people and their friends and families altogether in the community, that in itself, really was the best result we could have. Especially when we know our people do live in isolation, and do have struggles. The fundraising is always an added bonus, but certainly not the main focus.
I thought about retiring or having an break from this next year but after yesterday! Looks like we have a great formula for creating something really and truly special, we must therefore do it all again."
A huge thank you to all of our supporters; FreeWheelin, DBS Law, The Greggs Foundation, Mondelez, The Asda Foundation, Lapal Scouts Association, Brandhall Community Choir and Elms, N.I.C.E, Sociability Care and Birmingham Phab Camps.
