About the Role 
Cerebral Palsy Midlands is seeking a dedicated Part Time Minibus Driver to join our staff team at our day service in Harborne, Birmingham. 
This important role helps adults with disabilities access our services safely and comfortably each day. As a Minibus Driver, you will transport citizens to and from the centre, ensuring passengers feel respected, supported, and safe throughout their journey. The role requires someone who is reliable, patient, and committed to providing inclusive and person-centred support for individuals with a range of mobility needs. 
 
Hours of Work 
Monday to Friday 
Split shift: 
• 8:30am / 9am – 10:30am / 11am 
• 2:30pm – 4:30pm 
Total: 20 hours per week 
Key Responsabilities 
Safely transport adults with disabilities to and from the day service. 
Ensure passengers travel in comfort, dignity and safety at all times. 
Assist passengers with varying mobility needs when boarding and exiting the vehicle. 
Secure wheelchairs and passenger restraints safely where required. 
Maintain clear communication with staff and passengers. 
Carry out basic vehicle safety checks and report any concerns. 
Follow safeguarding and health and safety procedures. 
Requirements 
Valid driving licence with D1 entitlement (or appropriate category to drive a minibus). 
Minimum three years driving experience. 
Clean driving record preferred. 
Experience driving a minibus or transporting passengers is desirable. 
Experience supporting people with disabilities or vulnerable adults is an advantage. 
Experience securing passengers or wheelchair clamping is beneficial, although training will be provided. 
Good communication skills and a calm, friendly manner. 
Additional Information 
Full training will be provided, including safeguarding and passenger safety procedures. 
An Enhanced DBS check will be required for this role. 
The role offers annual leave entitlement and access to a pension scheme.
