Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month: Celebrating Kidz to Adultz & Highlighting CP as a Lifelong Condition
March marks Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month, an important time to raise awareness, challenge misconceptions, and highlight that cerebral palsy is a lifelong condition.
This year, we are also proud to celebrate 25 years of Kidz to Adultz, an event that has supported thousands of families, professionals and organisations across the UK.
Cerebral Palsy Midlands (CPM) will be joining Irwin Mitchell on Stand F6 at Kidz to Adultz Middle on Thursday, 12 March at the Coventry Building Society Arena and we’re looking forward to being part of this fantastic milestone event.
Cerebral Palsy Is a Lifelong Condition
While a lot of focus around CP is rightly on children, it is vital to recognise that children with CP grow up to be adults.
CP does not disappear at 18.
During Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month, we want to highlight the importance of:
Long-term planning for adulthood
Access to meaningful day opportunities
Community inclusion and participation
Ongoing health and wellbeing support
Raising awareness the importance of accessibility
At CPM, we work from the understanding that many of the challenges disabled people face are created by barriers in society not by their condition. That’s why our focus is on creating opportunities, reducing barriers, and supporting people to live full and connected lives.
Supporting Positive Transitions Into Adulthood
As an adult day service provider and registered charity supporting adults (18+) with cerebral palsy and other disabilities in the West Midlands, we are passionate about ensuring families know what support is available beyond school and college.

Starting early conversations about transition
Connecting families with adult services
Sharing practical information and resources
Building relationships between professionals and providers
Planning for adulthood should feel informed and supported and not overwhelming. Come find us and chat to us for support.
Raising Awareness Beyond March
Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month is an important moment in the calendar, but for us, raising awareness and supporting adults with cerebral palsy happens every day of the year.
As we celebrate 25 years of Kidz to Adultz, we’re proud to continue advocating for lifelong recognition, lifelong opportunity, and lifelong inclusion.
We look forward to seeing you there.
