Join us for a brand new exciting event. For the very first time, Cerebral Palsy Midlands, QAC Charity and Focus Birmingham are joining together to host a vibrant community celebration that shines a spotlight on disability, inclusion and everything that makes our community stronger when we come together.
Picnic & Parade in the Park is more than just a day out. It's an opportunity to celebrate Disability Pride, make new friendships, support three local charities and help put disability inclusion at the heart of our local community.
Whether you're a citizen, family member, local resident, business owner or a community organisation, we'd love you to be part of this special day. Expect colour, community, entertainment, local businesses, food, entertainment and plenty of smiles as we parade together through Queen's Park.
Why does it matter?
Adults with disabilities can often experience isolation and barriers to participating in community life and this type of event, we as three Harborne charities collbrating together hope to change that.
Together we're celebrating abilities, creating opportunities for people to connect, and helping local Harborne people discover the incredible work taking place every day at Cerebral Palsy Midlands, QAC Charity and Focus Birmingham.
By bringing together local businesses, charities, volunteers and residents, we hope to build lasting relationships that continue long after the event has finished. This is the first year of what we hope will become an annual Harborne tradition.
Join the Parade
Whether you're walking, wheeling or cheering from the sidelines, everyone is invited to celebrate our Picnic & Parade in the Park.
We're encouraging participants to bring:
🌈 Colourful clothing or fancy dress
🚩 Flags
🎈 Decorations
♿ Decorated wheelchairs and mobility aids
Let's fill our local Queens Park in Harborne, Birmingham. (Pictured above)
Picnic Information
Bring your own picnic and enjoy lunch in the park with friends, family and our community.
A selection of local food vendors and caterers will also be available if you'd like to purchase food and refreshments during the day.
Want to take Part in the Parade: You need to register to Take Part
Parade Participants
£5 per person. Includes a commemorative Picnic & Parade tote bag filled with goodies and offers from local businesses.
One carer attends FREE when supporting a registered participant.
General spectators are welcome free of charge, although donations towards the work of our three charities are greatly appreciated.
