The adventure began on Friday morningwith a stop at Weston-super-Mare for lunch before heading to The Big Tin Barn to settle in and enjoy a cosy movie night together. 

Saturday was packed with activities as the group visited Haynes Motor Museum, taking in the incredible collection and enjoying a delicious pub lunch afterwards. Back at the accommodation, everyone relaxed with accessible jacuzzi baths before winding down for the evening. Below: Images taken from Haynes Motor Museum 

Sunday brought another day of exploring with a trip to beautiful Lyme Regis, lunch out together, and a brilliant evening of karaoke and pizza – a perfect way to round off the weekend with plenty of laughter and singing.

Unfortunately, on the final day Clifford became unwell and the journey home was delayed while he attended hospital for some precautionary health checks. We’re pleased this was managed safely, and aside from this unexpected moment, the group had an incredible time away. 

 

 

Behind every accessible holiday is an enormous amount of planning, organising, personal care support, risk management, transport coordination, medication management and teamwork. Our staff and volunteers went above and beyond to make sure everyone could enjoy a safe, meaningful and memorable break. 

 

A huge thank you to Amanda, Richard, David, Kat and Ian for making this exceptional weekend happen and creating opportunities for our citizens to experience friendship, independence, choice and adventure.
