Spreading Holiday Cheer with Ability Life and Cerebral Palsy Midlands

This December, CPM had the joy of partnering with social interest company 'Ability Life' to host an Inclusive Christmas Coffee Morning at our centre in Harborne. The event was filled with festive fun, community spirit, and opportunities for connection, bringing together adults with disabilities from Harborne and the surrounding areas.

Festive Celebration

On Saturday, 14th December, our fully accessible venue was transformed into a hub of holiday cheer. Many guests enjoyed:

✨ Festive crafts, raffle, tombola and stalls for all to explore.
πŸŽ„ A lively Christmas jumper competition to showcase holiday style.
πŸ“š A quiz and activities to challenge minds and bring smiles.
β˜• Tea, coffee, and light refreshments, making it a cozy and welcoming space.

It was incredible to see people come together, share experiences, and celebrate the season in an inclusive and supportive environment. The event was very well attended for its first community meet-up, which highlights a need for this inclusive space in our ocal community.

A huge thank you to all of our 'Friends of CPM' volunteers, who gave up their time to help and assist the laumch of our event, we couldn't have done it without you.

Building a Thriving Community

The event marked the beginning of something even bigger! 'Ability Life' announced their plan to host monthly community events in collaboration with Cerebral Palsy Midlands. Up next is Jolly January, scheduled for Thursday, 18th January 2024, back at our centre.

These events are designed to foster a space where adults with disabilities can connect, grow, and thrive. Whether you're from Harborne or the surrounding areas, we invite you to join us and become part of this growing community. As 'Ability Life' says, "The more, the merrier!"
