Lots of people of all abilities taking part in the Wheel'n'Walk sponsored walk.

CPM take 4 citizens to Somerset for a weekend vacay!

From Friday 4th October to Monday 7th October, 3 staff and 2 volunteers supported 4 citizens in having a much needed breakaway to a very accessible place called The Big Tin Barn in Ilminster, Somerset. A huge thank you to Sarah, Amanda and David forn our staff team and to Kat and Ian who were amazing volunteers, we couldn't have done it without their incredible support.
CPM took Leanne, Vicky, Gary and Amy together for a long weekend away from their families which gives both themselves and their families much needed respite.

Everyone deserves a break away!

On our way to the Big Tin Barn we all stopped at Western-Super-Mare to have our lunch on the iconic Grand Pier.
The Big Tin Barn was a great place to stay and was fully inclusive and accessible for our citizens with all the necessary equipment, ceiling track hoists, profiling beds and modern equipment you could possibly need for a luxury stay away.
On Saturday a few of us managed to get down to Sunny Weymouth as they were hosting a pirate festival, we got to see lots of "Pirates of the Caribbean" style Pirates and characters as well as listening to some Sea Shanty music.
We didn't let the rain stop us from going out on Sunday as we went to Lyme Regis, having lovely hot chcolates with marshmellows and having a lovely nose around the stunning coastline.
Part of the group stopped at Berrow beach on their return journey home for lunch and a quick shopping spree!

More information about where we stayed: the Big Tin Barn

Cerebral Palsy Midlands can highly recommend 'The Big Tin Barn' as a fully accessible holiday home. It has been designed purposefully to support the needs and requirmeents of people with disabilities and for those who have complex care needs. It can cater up to 9 guests, it has two profiling beds and a very large wet room that featured an aqua spa bath as well as shower trolley and reclining shower chair. The property was in mint condition with modern equipment with a lovely relaxing atmosphere. We will most definately be booking this venue for further weekend breaks for our citizens as it had everything we truly needed and more.
For more information about the venue, please visit The Big Tin Barn website.
