Our latest CPM Connect Newsletter is here!

Our August 2026 edition of CPM Connect is packed with community news, upcoming events, citizen stories, partnerships and plenty of reasons to celebrate.

This issue looks ahead to a busy few months for CPM, including our Summer Sizzler Community Fete, One More Weoley Big Night Out, and the brand-new Picnic & Parade in the Park in partnership with Queen Alexandra College and Focus Birmingham.

We also celebrate some fantastic achievements from across CPM. Staff members Laura and Wendy have reached the finals of the 2026 Community Inspiration Awards for their Movement in Water programme, while our Access For All programme continues to create opportunities for day trips, horse riding, swimming and accessible holidays for our citizens.

Inside this edition, you can also read about our involvement in the Birmingham Disability Festival and Inclusive Walk, our work with West Midlands Ambulance Service on Learning Disability and Autism training, our inclusive Boccia sessions, upcoming specialist physiotherapy plans, DigiKick digital skills sessions, Advocacy Matters, and the brilliant support we receive from local businesses and community partners.

There are also wonderful stories from the heart of our centre, including citizen writing, feedback, relaxation sessions and a warm welcome to newer members of the CPM community.

And as CPM approaches its 80th anniversary in 2027, we are inviting volunteers, families, carers, historians and friends of CPM to help us preserve and celebrate our pioneering disability history in Harborne.
