A Dance Class that anyone with any ability can participate in.
Everyone can dance Where Movement Knows No Limits
Embark on a dance journey that transcends abilities, led by our passionate instructor Helen Mason from FreeWheelin Dance. With over fourteen years of diverse dance teaching experience and a Level 2 qualification from Para Dance (formerly Wheelchair Dance Sports Association), Helen is committed to ensuring that dance is accessible to everyone, regardless of their ability or disability.
Every week, the dance floor at Cerebral Palsy Midlands comes alive with a vibrant mix of dance styles. From graceful ballet to energetic street, sultry waltz to lively samba, and classic foxtrot to spirited Charleston and dance hall, our wheelchair dance classes embrace a kaleidoscope of movements. Adaptations ensure that everyone can participate, utilising arm and head movements, along with directional variations like forward, back, and dynamic shifts from slow to fast.
Helen Mason from 'FreeWheelin Dance' says:
"For me the most important thing is that the participants are having fun and enjoying themselves which is evident in their laughter, their singing along to the music and the fact that each week they return to join in again."
