One Stop shop grant for £4000

Cerebral Palsy Midlands have recently been successful in their application for a £4,000 grant to support the garden development at our community centre in Harborne. The grant will really help with our funding as we plan to re slab and extend the ramp access to the garden, making the garden more accessible to the disabled people, their carers and families that access our centre daily. 

 

Plans to make the garden more appealing with a great water feature and outdoor lighting will also make the environment a lot nicer for our citizens. 

 

And this is all thanks to our Local One Stop shops and their Carriers for Causes grant. Development Officer Sarah Lilly said "It's great to think that the cost of carrier bags is going to great community causes. This will make an enormous difference to our people and will hopefully get more people enjoying the outdoor space this year. We expect to have work completed by the summer in time for everyone to enjoy the warmer weather in our new accessible garden space." 

 

Carriers for Causes grants are available for good causes within two miles of a One Stop shop. Grants, of up to £2000 will be available to support projects that 'benefit local communities - helping to improve lives and local places'.
