The Rise of CPM Connection

The CPM Connection is a group based here at Cerebral Palsy Midlands who create their own rock music to empower a diverse group of adults with disabilities to become talented musicians.
Ever since veteran CPM service user and rock music fan Gary Ironmonger began participating in electric guitar jam sessions with then volunteer tutor and rock music personality Mathew Hale (also known by his stage name 'Miles Perhower' back in 2012, Cerebral Palsy Midlands has come along way with its music project knows as CPM connection. This is not only a fun and exciting project for CPM service users to be apart of but also an amazing platform for expression and interaction. The main purpose of these music sessions is to enrich the lives of individuals through sound expression, communication and team work as well as building confidence and motivation. It is also a great opportunity for members to learn more about live performance, instrument maintenance and studio recording. This also gives them the experience of performing relevant live shows in the public atmosphere.
This year the band have just started working on their third album which is going to be a massive success with all the hard work and effort that they have put into this project. As well as the group's third album, 'Beats by Sean' is also releasing a new album in February this year. 'Beats by Sean' was started here at CPM Connection by the service user's very own talented Sean. The album is due to be released on Spotify and YouTube at some point this month.
The CPM Connection is a group based here at Cerebral Palsy Midlands who create their own rock music to empower a diverse group of adults with disabilities to become talented musicians. CPM Connection's current rehearsal schedule is as follows:
- Tuesday's 1pm-3pm (small group sessions, recordings and discussions)
- Thursday's 10am-12pm (full band improvised rehearsal)
- Friday's 1pm-3pm (small group sessions, recordings and discussions)
