Thank you to our cycling champions!

A big thanks to these two men who keep giving and doing majorly heroic things for charities like us. Here are our Mondelez International (Cadbury's Bournville) Community Champions Michael Huggins and Steve Davies as they set out yesterday to cycle 100 miles for their chosen charities in the Birmingham Velo Race; Acorns Hospice, Cerebral Palsy Midlands, Sandwell Advocacy, Macmillan Cancer Support and Primrose Hospice. They have raised £300 for Cerebral Palsy Midlands and are looking to get a further £200 cash matched from Mondelez International to give them a total figure of £500! Thank you to Steve and Michael - we don't know how you do it!
Mondelez International Community Champions Steve Davies and Michael huggins set up a super hero themed Easter Weekend at Cadbury World, Bournville to fundraise for their top five charities including Cerebral Palsy Midlands.

Their chosen five charities include:
The British Paralympic Association Cerebral Palsy Midlands
Sandwell Advocacy
Acorns Children’s Hospice
Macmillan Caner Support
Cerebral Palsy Midlands
Michael Huggins reports:

"We were very pleased to let you all know that our fundraiser over at Cadbury World was very successful. As you know this event was planned as a Superhero theme and we were pleased that everyone who volunteered really got into the sprit of the event.

We were also joined by Sophia Hussain (SuperWoman) who is part of the leadership team here at Bournville for the majority of our first day at Cadbury World which is vital to us as she has now seen the full extent of the work we put in into organising various activities.

Over the three days we raised at total of £2028 which we will cash match up to £200 for each charity which brings our grand total to £3028."

Brandhall Community Choir and BUGS Ukulele Group concert raised an amazing £410.26!

Brandhall Community Choir and BUGS Ukulele Strummers performed at Brandhall Labour Club to raise money for Cerebral Palsy Midlands (CPM) on Friday 26th April 2019.

With a lot of thought into organising the evening and selling tickets as well as local community support with raffle prizes they raised an incredible £410.26 on the evening and CPM are incredibly thankful.

CPM took a small group along on the evening to enjoy the performance and Centre Manager Gary Watson gave a speech about our charity and the great work that we do, delivering a service to our disabled adult citizens. We are so very grateful to have this support from community groups like Brandhall Community Choir and BUGS Ukulele Group. It really does go along way.

They are not just our supporters but certainly good friends of our charity, always offering to support our cause in anyway they can. In April Brandhall Community Choir came and joined in our fun WheelnWalk sponsored walk, singing at The Bandstand in Cannon Hill Park and making everyone feel happy as they sang around the park, all bright and cheery.

The concert had a lot of support from local community groups, they sold raffle tickets on the evening with many many prizes to win. Everyone had a really enjoyable evening and it was a brilliant way for us as a charity to raise awareness as well as fundraising.

We want to thank all the members of the Brandhall Community Choir, BUGS Ukulele Strummers, to those who donated raffle prizes as well as everyone that attended the evening.
